AbstractCommunication technology in Canada has moved from one-way production of information such as radio, newspapers, and television to interactive communication such as mail, telephone, and telegraph, with the Internet fulfilling both those roles at various times. Canadian newspapers began in 1752, telephone service in 1876, radio in 1922, and television in 1952.
