Society and Culture in Sociological and Anthropological Tradition

Abstract
Examination of their historical roots suggests the older term “society” produced sociology and social anthropology while “culture” produced cultural anthropology. Max Weber’s “Kultursoziologie” was centered more on culture than on society in his version of sociology.
