In the treatment of the problem of international economic integration in the non-Soviet world, the whole complex of consequences of the cold war is taken as an independent variable. However, critical to Myrdal’s analysis is a need to examine effects of the cold war and he does so, taking a closer look at: migration, capital movements and trade; armament expenditure; effects on our culture; economic effects; political effects and the soviet concept of international integration.
