Abstract
This paper is concerned with the question of whether game theory is testable in laboratories for experimentation in economics, what to make of apparent refutations, and how to construct good tests of some simple implications of game theory. It will conclude that game theory is hard to test and has much less to tell us about strategic situations than it appears to.
