Abstract
Classical Marxist criticism of capitalism can provide a sound theorization of international relations. International relations as a specialized area of study lacks a sound body of theory. The existing theory of balance of power continues to form the core of international relations in the same way that an invisible market forces remain at the center of economic theories. This leads to the belief that the nature of the content of international relations is the cause of the lack of significant theoretical development of international relations.
