Abstract
This article explores how globalization and the growing power of transnational corporations have influenced relations between trade unions and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) both positively and negatively. It discusses differences between them, their shared objectives in regard to human rights in general, and many instances of cooperation since 1980.
