Development, Trade, and the Environment: A Third World Perspective
Author(s)
Khor, Martin
Abstract
This selection addresses the way in which developing nations in the South have been abused and neglected in the process of development and natural resource utilization. The author suggests that there must be a radical reshaping of the international economic and financial order so that economic power, wealth, and income are more equitably distributed and so that the developed world will be forced to cut down on its irrationally high consumption levels.
