Social balance demands that separate influence in society must be matched. Thus, if automobile consumption increases, so must traffic control. Unfortunately, privately-produced influences, such as cars can grow at a far faster rate than public influences, such as traffic control. This results in the widespread traffic problems in major cities. Similarly, the more people procure, the more trash they produce and discard. Thus as society gains more wealth, society will become more dirty. The solution is an increase in public services funding.
