Abstract
This chapter explains that attempting to measure one’s quality of life is a futile attempt. It is impossible to connect the items which actually constitute a thriving human’s life, while considering such effects as policy making and the economy on one’s quality of life. The problem is that an individual’s relationship with society is unique to each individual and to each society. The authors attempt to examine this relationship from a legal standpoint.
