Abstract
Saliwe M. Kawewe looks at how human rights are intricately linked to economic, cultural, political and legal spheres of Zimbabwean society. She argues that poverty is rooted in the structural failure to provide sufficient mechanisms to meet the needs of the poor. Women’s and children’s rights will only be fully realized when institutional structures of society facilitate their economic empowerment.
