Abstract
Singapore’s financial markets are relatively well developed and strong and its capital markets are nearly free of liberalization issues. Singapore has not been greatly affected by failures in international financial markets in the 1980s and 1990s. Its developed institutions and policies and effective regulatory measures have encouraged and maintained stable financial institutions.
