Abstract
Theoretical and ideological differences exist within the ranks of feminist economists. Nevertheless, most concur on gender’s role in society as well as the hierarchical nature and inequality of gender relations. At the same time, social economists and feminist economists engage in self-criticism and self-examination in their pursuit of a world where dignity and human potential are respected.
