The Order of Primates
Author(s)Coon, Carleton S.
AbstractIn this chapter the author seeks to trace the descent of the living races of Homo sapiens in order to discover the genetic relationships between modern humans and their ancestral past. He does this by researching ancient fossil races of Homo erectus and earlier hominid and prehominid forms. In addition, he focuses on learning about primate members in the same order as humans, such as the prosimians, monkeys, and apes.
