My purpose here is not to lay out in detail what a “genealogical Marxism” would look like. Rather, my intention is to show how Foucault’s Marx is clearly possible, already showing signs of discursive articulation in theories such as Negri’s. More important, I wish to portray the provocative ways in which Marx and Foucault can be brought together, without the elision of either of their unique specificities as theorists.
