Abstract
The relationship between, place and social memory is explained, by citing the example of Maltese culture. The strong ties between, nostalgia and the evocative power of sensory memory, is evident. Every year Trips are made to Malta, which reprent a pilgrimage of nostalgia by pseudo-Algerians.
