Fight the Power: Changing Forms of Consciousness and Protest
Author(s)Lauria-Perricelli, Antonio
AbstractAnthropologists must analyze what local people do with the institutions, projects, and cultural forms proposed by intellectuals, politicians and administrators who build the nation-state. Another vital element of anthropological research is the dynamic between local action and nationalist construction. Cultural mixing and multiplicity are important to modern anthropology. Scholars have many ways of addressing relationships between culture and power.
