Kofi Anan on Africa’s Development Problems

AbstractUN Secretary-General Kofi Annan portrayed the causes of political and economic problems plaguing Africa in his report ‘The causes of conflict and the promotion of durable peace and sustainable development in Africa.’ He also gave an overview of the continent’s present condition. The report provides guidelines for achieving sustainable economic growth that focuses on good government, friendly business environment, consideration for social justice and less dependence on foreign financial assistance.
