Development, Ecology and Women
Author(s)Shiva, Vandana
AbstractThe author analyzes the unequal role that women have played in traditional development process, specifically how they bear the costs of this development but are excluded from the benefits. She highlights the economic biases and values against nature, women, and indigenous people. She proposes that a recovery of the feminine principle will allow transcendence and transformation of the patriarchal foundations of maldevelopment.
