Planning in the Welfare State
Author(s)Myrdal, Gunnar
AbstractIn the last half century, in all rich countries in the Western world, the state has become a democratic “welfare state.” Myrdal argues that the state is increasingly involved in coordinating and regulating the national economy. The author believes that welfare has come into being through public policies under the ultimate sanction of the state.
