In Search of Self-Reliance: Towards a New Economics: On the Theory and Practice of Self-Reliance
Author(s)Galtung, Johan
AbstractOne of the pillars of the new economic framework, this selection discusses the commitment to economic self-reliance, which is a major break with conventional economic thinking. The author proposes that this self-reliance will lead to economic self-defense as well as non-aggressiveness. This will lead to an international order in which players meet as much of their need as possible with their own production.
