Economic Liberalism
Author(s)Myrdal, Gunnar
AbstractMyrdal writes that there are two brands of liberalism: one advocating non-interference under actual conditions, the other propagating liberty for the natural state only (but interference with the actual state in order to restore the natural.) The author argues that the conflict of these two liberal theories pervaded the work of Adam Smith. Myrdal critiques liberalism and liberal economic theories.
