From Individualism to Person in Community
Author(s)Daly, Herman E.
AbstractCurrent economic theory is individualistic and assumes purely self-interested behavior with out any concept of human beings being social and living in a collective. Economics needs to have a broader picture of humans within a community but at the same time it needs to be aware of the role of the individual in a community and be wary of creating monolithic, homogenous pictures of the community itself.
