Naturalism in Economics
Author(s)Jackson, William A.
AbstractScientific realist views are useful for economics although economists, unfortunately, have expressed little interest in using them for their analytical work. Scientific realism is an attempt to combine the best principles of both naturalism and anti-naturalism. It recognizes both objective reality and subjectivism. It considers social science, such as economics, to be a realistic object of study although a difficult one to analyze.
