AbstractThe academe began to evaluate its attitudes towards women in the 1970s with the emergence of the feminist revolution. The creation of the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession by the American Economic Assn. investigated discrimination against women in economics. Recent researches comparing the careers of male and female economists are presented.
