Developments in Economics as Realist Social Theory
Author(s)Lawson, Tony
AbstractThe article traces the developments of critical realism as a method for research. Several economists have written papers that focus on the use of ‘critical realism’ as a method for examining the nature of mainstream economics. Stephen Pratten dealt with the deductivist nature of mainstream economics with emphasis on the relation between neo-Ricardianism and Post-Keynesianism.
