The Role of Economics in Politics
Author(s)Myrdal, Gunnar
AbstractMyrdal argues that economic reasoning is often obscured by the fact that normative principles are not introduced explicitly, but in the shape of general ‘concepts.’ The author writes that it should be one of the main tasks of applied economics to examine and unravel the complex interplay of interests (political, etc.) as they converge/conflict. Myrdal discusses the role of economics in politics.
