National Incentives to Protect Natural Resources: Preserving their Place in International Trade
Author(s)Kibel, Paul S.
AbstractExamines the relations between the leftists (Venezuelan Communist Party and Movimiento de Izquierdo Revolucionaria) and the moderates in Venezuela from General Marcos Pérez Jiménez’s forced departure in 1958 to President Rafael Caldera’s fulfillment of an election promise in 1969 to legalize the two leftist parties and to grant amnesty to leftists not involved in terrorist activities; explains why the attempts to unite leftist and moderate political parties of the opposition failed.
