Bringing the State Back In: Enabling National Environmental Policy
Author(s)Gallagher, Kevin P.
AbstractThis selection summarizes results of a study that tested the prevailing theories about the relationship between economic integration and the environment in Mexico. This study suggests that there is a need for a more scholarly evaluation of the role of the nation state during the integration process. It also demands an increase to the extent to which environmental considerations should be incorporated into international trade and cooperation agreements.
