Modern theories of sociology and on the state should consider the detrimental effects of globalization on Asian, African and Latin American Third World countries. Meanwhile, there are no logical and empirical reasons to support the idea that neoliberal measures lead to the development of humanity or to the solution of social problems in the First World. A social democracy different from the populist state or the welfare state is deemed as the alternative to the neoliberal state.
