Quality of Life and Economic Development Policy
Author(s)Blair, John P.
AbstractMost quality-of-life studies are not accurate and should not be made as basis for economic development policy-making. Their reliance on a common set of factors for all areas make quality-of-life ranking methods ineffective because the factors that attract economic activities vary from industry to industry. Thus, development offices should determine the local quality-of-life factors and focus on their actions based on local resources and opportunities.
