Muhammad Zahir Khan, Former King of Afghanistan: Biographical Review
Author(s)Magnus, Ralph H.
AbstractReports an interview in June 1975, in Rome where the former king of Afghanistan has long been living in exile. In 1973 after a forty-year reign he pledged his allegiance to the new government. He thinks that the constitutional experiment has been successful. He is sure that his cousin President Da’id is the best person to promote the development of the nation and that he has no other motive.
