Abstract
Although publications since the 1920’s have described numerous archival resources in Jamaica and other locations in the Caribbean, many historians have not utilized these important sources in their works on the region. The article describes the many political and ecclesiastical collections in the Island Secretary’s Office, the Jamaican Archives, government departments, the National Library of Jamaica, the National Gallery of Jamaica, the University of the West Indies, local government offices, and Anglican parishes throughout Jamaica. The records are organized topically for the most part. An appendix gives contact information for many of the archives.
