Mid-Victorian Anti-Catholicism, English Diplomacy, and Odo Russell in Rome

Abstract
An examination of the academy as a social institution by considering how gender correlates with publication and citation in sociolinguistics and linguistic anthropology is given. Some of the implications of this work, and the questions it raises for further research are discussed.
