The League of Nations: Its Problems and Causes of Failure

AbstractSummarizes the history of the interwar League of Nations. Although the League encountered difficult problems, its leadership worked hard and its International Court of Justice performed well. Nevertheless, lack of cooperation among the Great Powers frustrated the League’s efforts to achieve international peace and security and eventually caused its downfall.
