Abstract
Reproduces a speech delivered by the United Nation’s (UN) permanent representative of Ukraine that recounts the history of the UN on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. In spite of conditions of intense ideological rivalry, the UN has repeatedly managed to forestall the outbreak of World War III.
