Does the Welfare State Help the Poor?
Author(s)Steiner, Hillel
AbstractSteiner responds to Joseph Raz’s argument in The Morality of Freedom, which states that those who want equality to relieve misery are rational, while those who want equality for the sake of equality are irrational. Steiner aims to show that equal distribution of variable G must be valued for its own sake in order to create a value of G.
