Abstract
An essential question arises from the evolution of the political philosophy of John Rawls: How can we acknowledge the validity of the several distinct, conflicting, and reasonable visions of the good operative within our society, and at the same time devise an account of democratic citizenship that otherwise opposed individuals can find compelling? This is the question for political philosophy in the contemporary world.
