The Right to a Green Future: Human Rights, Environmentalism, and Intergenerational Justice
Author(s)Hiskes, Richard P.
AbstractAn argument for intergenerational justice within the language of human rights, specifically the human right to a safe environment is presented. A new approach is rooted in pragmatist philosophy that establishes environmental right as emergent human rights, accepting this right carries several beneficial consequences both for the philosophy of human rights and for its practice.
