Abstract
Social, legal and administrative authorities of Muslim countries prevent the Muslim women from enjoying socioeconomic and political rights by exploiting the customs and traditions of Islamic culture. The formation of Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML) network provides support to affected Muslim women by integrating them and breaking their isolation. WLUML has been successful after its formation in 1986 and has provoked a global awareness to the problem of women in Muslim countries.
