Money and Happiness: Income and Subjective Well-being Across Nations
Author(s)Diener, Ed; Oishi, Shigehiro
AbstractDiener and Oishi review evidence on the relation of income to subjective well-being: between nations, within countries, and over time. Two findings are noteworthy: wealthy nations are happier on average than poor ones, and yet SWB increased very little in the richer nations over the last several decades, even though wealth expanded spectacularly.
