Abstract
All political revolutions, to one degree or another fail to deliver all they promised and the African National Congress (ANC) has also made serious compromises along the way. Neoliberalism has failed in terms of its announced goals, particularly on terms of bringing rapid economic growth, reduced poverty, or economic stability yet it has succeeded as the class project of capital which makes it appear that the ANC’s rightward drift is inexorable.
