Mobilizing Action for Change
Author(s)World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization
AbstractA variety of voices are pressing the case for change in the current process of globalization. This selection outlines a systematic follow-up to the recommendations made by the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization. The authors propose action to engage the commitment and sustained involvement of both State and non-State actors. In all cases the authors envisage a central role for the multilateral system of the United Nations in animating and supporting the follow-up process as a whole. This selection has implications for national and international actors, policy development and multilateral organizations in addressing the process of globalization.
