Evidence and Policy: Towards a New Politico-Administrative Settlement

Abstract
The relationship between evidence-based policy-making and older rational decision-making models is considered. The challenges now facing government point to the need for a new politico-administrative settlement enabling development of the policy-making process to increase the role of individuals and organizations outside of government.
