The Effects of Public Policy on Private Charity
Author(s)Brooks, Arthur C.
AbstractThe reaction of private citizens to their most frequent interactions with government with the goal of establishing better intuition on the true impact of the public sector on private charity are examined. However it is suggested that charitable giving is negatively affected by most of the tax reforms, receipt of welfare payments, government funding of nonprofit activities, and rising confidence in government.
