Psychology in China: A Review
Author(s)Wang, Zhong-Ming
AbstractChinese psychological research and programs have developed extensively in response to the recent economic and social reforms in that country. Chinese psychology is strongly rooted in social and cultural philosophies, involving economic and organizational reform, special education, psychotherapy, traditional medicine and the attitudes caused by the social development. The programs involve the practical application of theoretical studies. Understanding Chinese psychology requires a recognition of the extensive social and cultural influences on that area of study.
