The loss of socio-diversity is a problem as alarming as the loss of bio-diversity. Socio-diversity, which pertains to the diverse ways of social and economic arrangements by which people organize their societies, is threatened by the disrupted interaction between human socio-economic and ecological systems. Context, participation, place, limits and temporality are factors that are relevant to the preservation of bio- and socio- diversity.
