Abstract
Analyzes the “right to development” as a fundamental human right, as outlined in the Declaration on the Right to Development adopted by the United Nations in 1986. Defines the right to development as a “comprehensive economic, social, cultural and political process”; states shall ensure “equality of opportunity for all in their access to basic resources, education, health services, food, housing, employment and the fair distribution of income”.
