How the West was Won for Jesus
Author(s)Torley, Vincent
AbstractChristianity in the space of 300 years managed to replace ancient Rome and establish itself as a dominant religion in the West. Rodney Stark, professor of sociology and comparative religion at the University of Washington, argues that Christianity can be understood in human terms. He argues that when individuals want to convert to a new religion, they weigh the cost and benefits of their actions and listen to their family and friends before deciding on religious claims.
